Most gardeners love garden books almost as much as gardening. I do, and I was delighted to receive a copy of Indoor Plant Décor, written by my beautiful and talented friends, Kylee Baumle and Jenny Peterson. My gardening experience tends to be focused on growing vegetables and flowers outside, but Kylee and Jenny have gotten my juices going to try some gorgeous houseplants, too. Indoor Plant Décor is beautifully written and photographed. Each chapter delves into a different décor. Whether your style is Zen, Cheap Chic, Modern Eclectic, or Haberdashery—there’s a chapter for you!
Indoor Plant Décor will guide you in selecting plants to that are easy to grow and care for and most appropriate for the style of your home. Kylee and Jenny also give you lots of creative ideas about containers to use to complement your style.
I also love the sections on creative crafts and projects to really personalize your collection of houseplants. The step-by-step instructions will help you to create a really personalized display for your houseplants.
Fun, friendly and a joy to read, Indoor Plant Décor will help you to bring your love for gardening indoors and add another element of style, beauty and grace to your home. You can order your copy from Amazon right here.
Now for More Fun – A Garden Giveaway From The Seed Keeper Company!
My penchant for growing fruits and vegetables leads to lots of seed packets laying around my house. Not pretty! Not stylish! Kylee and Jenny would be scolding me! And it’s frustrating when you can’t find your Black Beauty eggplant or your Roma tomato seeds. I remedied this organizational issue a few years ago with a Seed Keeper Home Farmer kit. I love my Seed Keeper Home Farmer! It holds my extra-large collection of seeds, and it comes with dividers, plant stakes, a seed sorting dish, a grow bag and more. I bring mine right out to the garden with me during planting season. It is a wonderful thing to have your seeds all organized and in one place.
I’m excited to be giving a Seed Keeper Home Farmer edition away to a Cowlick Cottage Farm friend! Just leave a friendly gardener comment for Jenny and Kylee between now and May 12. My husband will select a winner at random on May 12. Good luck and thanks to our friends at The Seed Keeper Company for participating in this giveaway.

Love indoor gardening. Great giveaway!
Love the indoor gardening ideas. Thank you for hosting this giveaway.
Great giveaway!
Thank you, Jenny and Kylee, the book looks inspiring and fun. I need to know which plants are easy to grow and care for – I haven’t had much luck with the ones I’ve been trying to keep alive indoors. The book is now on my wishlist.
Wow, if I had this seed keeper I wouldn’t need those little zip lock baggies anymore. Fingers crossed!
Zen, Cheap Chic, Modern Eclectic, or Haberdashery! i love the names of the chapters.
This is a great giveaway and I love your blog !
The photos from the book are amazing! I love the seed keeper too. Definitely beats my old takeout container!
Love love the giveaway….thanks for the opportunity!!! I printed seed packages last year and shared them with friends! Happy Gardening! Pamie G. New Braunfels Texas
Love the giveaway… I am a novice gardener but have been around green thumbs my whole life… just hope I picked up some of their knowledge!
Every season, I buy the same sort of seeds because I can’t find the packets most recently bought. Maybe a seed keeper would help.
My brother John is an enthusiastic gardener, a humorous soul, and has a very generous spirit. He and his wife sold their house 2 years ago and moved into the second story of my mother’s home, to help her keep it. It sits on a beautiful private lake in southern CT, and she was no longer able to afford it on her own.
Along with a bigger home to care for, he inherited the large grassy yard that our Dad used to lovingly mow for croquet games. John decided he needed to turn a big piece of that yard into a vegetable garden, so he got a neighbor to till a 20×40′ section, fenced it in and planted rye grass the first fall.
That’s quite a labor of love. Along with all of his gardening implements, came his cache of seeds, that we knew nothing about. I guess all gardeners have their secret desires… He needs a seed keeper. For Father’s Day.
I’d love to have a real seedkeeper! My shoebox is starting to get a little out of hand :/
Hi, Carolyn. I’m new to your blog, but will be coming back to visit often.
CONGRATS to Kylee and Jenny on the recent release of their book, Indoor Plant Decor. I like the cover picture of the hanging planters. So decorative. I’ll have to try that one out when I get the book.
A Seed Keeper would definitely help me keep my seeds more organized. Right now they are in a couple different spots in the house.

Right now I have 4 medium sized Tupperware containers filled with seed, but 1/2 the packets are all over the place in to be planted or was already planted piles. Usually towards the end of the season I need an extra container for all of the new seeds I’ve accumulated over the season. Ugh!!
I would soooo love that Seed Keeper!
My seed keeper boxes are 5 old large plastic containers. It’s a great prize and would make a nice birthday or holiday gift for a gardener. Thanks for letting us know about The Seed Keeper Company.
As a Master Gardener, I will donate my seedkeeper for a project we support, helping abused women and their children learn to garden, while providing fresh produce for their meals at their Lighthouse home.
MY SEED HABIT
Here’s a seed, there’s a seed
Everywhere’s a seed, seed!
Look in the closet lying on the shelf
Open a drawer, can’t help myself!
I spy some seeds on the window sill
Gathering them up will take some will.
Here’s a jar, there’s a packet
Glory be, the pocket of my jacket!
My seed menagerie needs a fix
And I myself should learn to nix.
My crazy habit just grows deeper
I think I need the prized Seed Keeper!
Good luck to all who enter here
We keep the seed to grow each year
Because we love these growing things
More than jewels and pretty rings.
Awesome, Shelly!
Love reading your blog. I am an avid gardener and enjoy how you share your ideas. Your contests are an added bonus! Thanks for the chance.
Interesting blog, this is my 1st visit but not my last. I’d love to have a seed keeper…
My first time here. I followed the link from Digging. I loved your review and that seed organizer is pretty cool as well. I use organizers in the house all the time and never thought of using the same principle outdoors.
Oops – I didn’t mean to post the terrarium comment here – so sorry, please just delete it with this one. Thanks :o)
I’ve read Kylee’s blog for awhile & am very excited about the new book. Would love to win the seed keeper!
Wow. This is super organized. I could really use this. I would love a copy of your book too. My husband was way better at this and I am trying to keep his legacy going.
Carolyn, I’m coming to you from Pam Penick’s blog. Hope to see you more often now that I know you’re here. I collect a lot of seeds, so these would be so very helpful. thank you for hosting this giveaway!

I love the creativity of the succulent arrangement in the chair. That’s very cool.
Thank you for being a part of our Virtual Book Tour, Carolyn! And what a nice review of our book. We appreciate your friendship and support! <3
I too have seeds scattered in places throughout the house. Luckily, I have most of them in ziplocs, but I’m never sure I’m using the oldest seeds or buying some then finding out I already had that type. This would be great!
Carolyn, thank you so much for your review and for participating in our blog tour–it wouldn’t be a party without you!
What a great idea. One of those, why didn’t I think of that. I often find packets that I’ve bought more than once because I couldn’t find them.
The ideas in this book look amazing! I’m hoping to find myself a copy soon, i want to do some indoor stuff to hopefully sustain me through winters here in the NE
The seedkeeper is super cute! It would be a lot better than my current method of keeping all the little packets in a big envelope 🙂
Perfect! Love your website. This looks fantastic! LOVE IT!! Our daughter has a green thumb indoors and outdoors, I swear. She is finding her way in gardening and loving it all. She has a challenging yard to deal with, so I’m always looking for ideas and help for her to make it work, plus have fun and succeed. I’m so glad to find you for all of us. Love your name, “Cowlick Cottage Farm”. 🙂 I’ll be sharing your sight with others.
Woot! congratulations on getting your book published, Jenny and Kylee!
My current seed sorting involves throwing everything in the ‘berry’ compartment of my refrigerator door. And then I have to go through everything to find the one packet of seeds I want. Yay for organization (or lack thereof).
Thank you for introducing me to this book-it looks fabulous! And the giveaway, of course.
I need this!
Great prizes, Carolyn. Always glad to participate in these contests. I love my seed keeper. It would make a gret gift for somebody eyeballing my keeper. Would love a copy of the book too. Thanks for the contest.
Bravo, Jenny and Kylee, for putting together a truly new book on an age old subject. The photos I’ve seen from your blogger friends have convinced me I need to see the whole thing!
My seed collecting is horror story of disorganization. Small packets would at least cut down on all the containers of seeds which take up so much space. I would love to win this keeper.
My collection of seed packets and plant tags from pots overgrew my present index card size box ages ago. This Seed Keeper Home Farmer kit would make a wonderful replacement. The idea of taking it right out into the garden when planting is quite appealing. It even looks like there would be room for indoor plant tags from all those new plants I’ll be planting after reading Indoor Plant Decor!
Love the pic of the old chair turned planter.
